STN has recently brought the new DTH platform of STARTIMES to sub-Saharan Africa, using KA-band on Astra’s SES 5 satellite with the system of MPEG4 DVB- S2. 

This was a significant breakthrough bringing 100 TV and multi radio channels to awaiting viewers in the region. The second phase of this project is already in preparation.

STN was specifically sought out by Startimes a Chinese based company who are already have a large presence in the DDT/DTH market in Africa. They currently provide digital Pay-Tv services for over 2.5 million subscribers in 11 African countries and were ranked by Forbes as among the Top 20 Most Innovative Chinese Enterprises…
